The Challenge
Nationally respected mediator and facilitator Mary Dumas approached us to reimagine her brand identity and website. Her company, Dumas & Associates, faced a critical disconnect: her online brand presence was outdated and not at all representative of her accomplishments, leadership, and authority. Like many successful solopreneurs, Mary had focused on delivering exceptional services, leaving little time for brand maintenance. This misalignment risked undermining credibility with potential high-profile clients, particularly government agencies and large corporations.
The Solution
We revitalized Dumas and Associates' brand identity, creating messaging and visuals that authentically represent Mary’s well-respected practice. The new logo, an evolution of her original nautilus-inspired logo, symbolizes both macro and micro perspectives on problem-solving, while also conveying themes of hope and rebirth—crucial elements in trauma recovery work. We developed a professional website that clearly articulates Dumas and Associates’ services, establishing a digital presence that matches the caliber of Mary’s work.
The Spark Factor
While the concept of Dumas and Associates' existing logo offered an apt metaphor for the work, the representation was aged. As a result, the company's images seemed outdated. Rather than abandoning a relevant concept, we pushed the identity through an evolution, preseving history and relevance while achieving the goal of modernization.
