7 Types of Photos You Need to Market Your Business

Here are 7 types of photos you need to market your business:

Whether you’re building your website, creating social media content, or making a brochure for your business, having great photos to show the awesome work you do is critical. A good photographer can cost a decent chunk of change, so here’s a guide to help you make the most of your money by making sure you capture the types of photos you’ll actually need in the coming months.

Product Photos

These photos are product-focused with good lighting and minimal extras in the photo.

Lifestyle Photos

This includes photos of your services being performed (or staged!), or of your products being used in a real-life setting (like a living room).

Storefront/Office Photos

Photos of your main workspace or shop, with and without shoppers + employees.

Exterior Photos

Capture any outdoor signs you have, the building exterior, and the front door.

Team Photos

Action shots of your team working individually and in groups.

Headshots

These don’t have to be crisp photos with a white background, these can also be action or lifestyle photos of your employees, founders, board members, etc. Whatever style you like, go for it! But keep in mind that when your headshots are grouped together (like on your website) it looks the best when everyone has the same style.

Behind-the-Scenes Shots

It might seem mundane to you because you do it every day, but the rest of the world will find behind-the-scenes photos of your team fascinating. Capture your crew creating a product, completing a service, having team meetings, or whatever else you can think of!
